A range of projects that have investigated monitoring of near burner slagging, monitoring and control of burner combustion, development of novel instrumentation & oxy-coal combustion for carbon capture and storage, in collaboration with a large range of EU partners and supported by EU framework and RFCS funding.

A project undertaken in collaboration with the Fachhochschule Nürnberg to develop an in tank monitoring system able to detect degradation of the vessel walls. The novelty of this application arose from the demanding requirements placed on the control system of the ROV to maintain a constant separation from the tank bottom whilst traversing to gather data.

A range of projects that investigated how to better design and optimise customised wheel chairs to ensure their crash worthiness and advance wheel chair seat design for patients. In collaboration with Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust and supported by UK funding.
